Note:
- The campaign targeting options were based on the customer purchase journey stage. They are not target segments based on customer segmentation.
- There are better ways to build the funnel. For example, instead of narrow-targeting approach, combining reach and performance marketing strategies increases the marketing effectiveness in both short-term and long-term.
- This funnel represents what worked for me before 2021. It now needs changes because ad platforms released many updates related to new campaign formats, objectives, targeting options, etc. after that. For example, after the iOS 14.5 update, Meta came up with a new recommendation, “Performance 5“, to improve the ad effectiveness. The recommendations include simplifying the account structure, leveraging automation, diversifying ad creative, etc.
